You're getting a refund from Crypto Uncomplicated!

Maybe a free lunch actually is possible after all

Dear esteemed (paid) Crypto Uncomplicated Subscribers,

I come bearing great news! Due to Meta recently announcing the winding down of their Bulletin email project, we were able to work out a deal to give you back money spent on my premium content. Even If you paid for an annual subscription, you get the whole year back and you won't need to cancel or do anything! (Do not cancel your paid membership, or you won't be refunded.)

Frankly, you all mean the world to me. My deal to write about crypto for Bulletin marked my first independent venture as a journalist since I quit traditional media to leave Yahoo and CNBC behind. Some of you I knew before this experiment even started (Hi, Mom!) and some of you are new — but all of you proved to me that there is a clear need for quality and trusted crypto stories and explainers. Luckily, I'll still keep writing until I figure out which platform I might migrate over to.

You're getting a refund from Crypto Uncomplicated!

Since I launched this email newsletter back in February, I've doubled down with the creation of a new mainstream crypto media brand, Coinage, that is co-owned by our audience. You may have seen my article about it and or the article in TechCrunch about why I think the community-owned cooperative model will be become the future for media. I firmly believe that NFTs have unlocked the ability to break down the wall between content creators and their audiences.

I'm still working through how Crypto Uncomplicated might fit into the Coinage brand (as a project that's mostly focused on video right now) but as an added thank you for your support, I'd like to extend an exclusive invite to co-own what Coinage is building. So far, our exclusive invites have been accepted by billionaire CEO Sam Bankman Fried, the co-founder of Netflix, Professor Dan Ariely, and dozens of other founders and venture capitalists. If you'd like to join them in minting an NFT that will unlock co-owning Coinage, it'd be my honor to welcome you into our burgeoning ownership community. (Just email me!)

As for Crypto Uncomplicated, rest assured you'll still continue to receive my usual and free updates on all things crypto. I'll keep you all posted on changes to come later this year (and if those emails might be coming from a different platform.)

For more info on refunds set to come from Meta, I'm told that you should expect those at the end of the month. Other details to note, include:

  • All current Bulletin subscriptions will be refunded regardless of when you purchased your subscription; both monthly and annual subscriptions will be refunded fully. (For monthly subscribers, your most recent month will be refunded, not all previous months. For annual, the entire year will be refunded.)

  • You will be refunded by the end of October.

  • Please do not cancel your subscription as only active subscriptions will be refunded.

Thanks again for your support!

Zack
